1.8kg pork ribs
½ cup barbecue sauce
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tbsp American mustard
1 tsp sea-salt flakes
½ tsp ground white pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Put ribs in a large saucepan over a high heat and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes or until just cooked. Drain and set aside to cool.
Combine barbecue sauce, maple syrup, mustard, salt and pepper in a shallow ceramic dish. Add ribs, turning to coat well with marinade. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat barbecue hotplate to medium. Spread oil over hotplate. Add ribs and cook for 8 minutes on each side or until heated through and browned. Cut into smaller pieces and serve.
